About Company

      M-III Engineering, PLLC (pronounced "M Three") is a civil engineering and land surveying company founded by Jose Martinez in November '08.  M-III is able to give our client's the land development experience of a large firm but with the personal attention of a smaller company.

     Our philosphy at M-III is that we should provide value to our client by giving them the personal service, attention and quick turn-around on projects while protecting the environment to the most practical extent possible.  M-III has placed itself in a position to deliver this promise to our clients with our work experience, education, and certifications. 

Civil Engineering & Water Resources

      Jose F. Martinez III has experience with design projects of up to $180 million, experience working as an engineer for a local municipality, experience as a detachment commander for an engineering company, and is currently working on his 4th engineering degree (PhD in engineering with a concentration on urban stormwater).  Jose's certifications include:

• Professional Engineer: NC, SC & VA
• LEED Accredited Professional
• CPSWQ (Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality)
• NCDOT Level I E&SC/Stormwater Installer
• NCDOT Level II E&SC/Stormwater Site Manager

Geomatics & Digital Terrain Modeling

     Randy D. Mason, PLS - Principal / Geomatics Manager, is experienced in all aspects of surveying including being part of a management team responsible for over 30 surveying crews.  Randy has experience in individual projects of over 1,200 acres and can take a surveying project from pre-design up through the as-builts of the finished project.
